FONDO RUVIDO Primer for decorative paint, Ferrara Design

PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT:

 

New plasters:

First, check that the surface has been seasoned for at least 28 days and clean it carefully, removing all traces of dust, dirt and any loose material.
Then, ensure the consolidation and levelling of imperfections (holes, cracks).
Then use appropriate biocides in the presence of algae or mold.
If necessary, apply a layer of water-based primer.
After that apply two layers of FONDO RUVIDO primer.

 

Old plasters:

First, remove carefully all traces of loose and efflorescent paint.
Then level the wall. Apply fillers if necessary.
Then use appropriate biocides in the presence of algae or mold.
If necessary, apply a layer of water-based primer.
After that apply two layers of FONDO RUVIDO primer.

The FONDO RUVIDO primer must be applied with a roller in two layers.
It is necessary to dilute the product with water.

Tools:
• Roll;
• Dilution: 15-20% (by weight);
• Drying time (at T=23±2°C; RH=50±5%): dry to the touch = 3-4 hours; completely dry = 14-24 hours;
• Coverage: 3-4 hours;
• Environment conditions;
• Ambient temperature: min +5°C / max 35°C;
• Ambient relative humidity: < 80%;
• Do not apply on surfaces exposed to direct atmospheric agents.
• Consumption:
– 4-5 m²/lt (full application in two layers);
– 8-10 m²/lt per layer;
• Packaging: plastic boxes lt. 1 and lt. 4.

All tools must be cleaned with water immediately after use.

 

PHYSICAL-CHEMICAL PROPERTIES:

• Viscosity: 14000-24000 cPs;
• pH: 7-9;
• Density: 1.70±0.05 gr/ml (white);
• Density: 1.52±0.05 gr/ml (transparent).

 

HANDLING – STABILITY:

Store it at temperatures between 5 and 35°C.
Our FONDO RUVIDO primer has no stability problems when kept in a dry place, at room temperature and in the original sealed containers. PROTECT FROM FROST. The maximum storage period is 12 months.
